Research interests
PhD subject: “Domestic gardens as socio-ecosystems: from owners and their practices to biodiversity and its conservation”
My project aims to identify potential levers for flora conservation in peri-urban domestic gardens by :
- Identifying the psychological and sociological variables that influence the choice of maintenance practices.
- Evaluating the relative effects of maintenance practices and more difficult-to-modulate factors (garden structure and landscape context) on plant communities’ functional diversity in gardens.
- Assessing flora’s conservation potential of domestic gardens, compared with the surrounding urban areas.
